iPad Pro Coming Next Month: Specs and Features Released

By

The iPad Pro is on it's way! Apple's giant tablet, unveiled last month, will be onsale by November and that's as specific as the innovation tech company can get.

During the September 9 iPhone 6s launch, Apple gave an added surprise announcement by unveiling an iPad that isn't like anything Mac followers have ever seen. Whether that's a good or bad thing is yet to be decided.

An update on Macworld states that a reseller, KRCS, has announced that it will be taking pre-orders for the 12.9-inch screen tablet, but then later withdrew the statement by saying that they would only be taking orders on the actual date of the launch.

The iPad Pro will be made available in three storage configurations. It was announced as well during the pre-launch that the 16GB option will be phased out for this line, and it has been confirmed. The options will be between a 32GB, 128GB (wifi only) and 128 GB (wifi and cellular connectivity).

The US pricing of those three configurations will be as follows.

  • $799 (32GB, Wi-Fi)
  • $949 (128GB, Wi-Fi)
  • $1,079 (128GB, Wi-Fi and cellular)

A Mac supply chain Japanese blog, Macotakara, also claims that the Apple Pencil will be launched at the same time as the iPad Pro. There have also been claims by the Japanese supply chain that the launch date will be on the first week of November, but Apple Insider has suggested that it may not be a reliable statement.

The iPad Pro sports hardware features that will rival the Surface Pro, as The Inquirer says. The tablet will also carry a 2732x2048 resolution that trumps that of the iPad Aid. Apple says that this will be the sharpest and most pixel-dense iOS device yet, having put in about 5.6 Million Pixels into its display.

The iPad pro will be made available in gold, silver and space grey colors at the launch.
