The 2016 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are highly anticipated to be released in early 2016. However, current reports suggest that these laptops could be released during the holiday season this year.

Christian Today reports that the 2016 MacBook Air and Macbook Pro could be seen having late 2015 release instead of being delayed to January or February 2016. It is said that Christmas shopping fever may be a reason for this release schedule since it would provide a big increase in sales. Nevertheless, it was also stated that Apple has yet to confirm or contradict this speculation.

The site added that Apple could have numerous reasons why it has been suspending the release of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. One of the reasons is to provide room to the iPad Pro that is slated to release this November, avoiding Apple's products opposing among themselves.

Another reason could be the Apple's careful observation of its competition, primarily Microsoft's new Surface Pro 4 as well as the freshly launched Microsoft Surface Book. Apple is possibly avoiding the MacBook Air 2016 and MacBook Pro 2016 to a synchronized launch with their rivals.

It is also speculated that the company may be waiting for their latest OS; OS X El Capitan that will be further improved in order to make both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 be packed with the latest version and are already free of most bugs and problems.

In a separate report from Yibada, it says that since the company will release the new iPad Pro in November, consumers will not witness the 2016 MacBook Air and Macbook Pro anytime soon. Apple is advertising the new iPad Pro as its most powerful tablet so far. It is also mentioned to cross the limits of laptops and a direct challenger of Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Hence, the Apple is withholding devices that could cannibalize the sales of iPad Pro like the speculated iPad Air 3 and new MacBook's.

On the other hand, a report from Latinos Post has stated that the 2016 MacBook Air will be featuring a Force Touch integrated into the track pad while the comfort mounds will be left solo. Moreover, the keyboard and trackpad will mostly remain the same as well as the measurements.

It is reported that Apple will improve in terms of weight and thinness and the new MacBook Air will become a record breaker in the notebook/ultrabook section. Based on the rumors' claims, the forthcoming MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 will be released together with the iPad Air 3.
