Samsung Electronics is believed to unveil the Samsung Galaxy View, an ultra-large tablet that will boast an 18.4" display. The device that is speculated to be released on January 2016 is foreseen to be armored with amazing specifications and features.
According to Latinos Post, the 18.4-inch screen of Samsung Galaxy View is bigger than most laptops that have usually 17-inch screens at the largest. This device is not a laptop though as it doesn't have a keyboard and the main feature of this gadget is the touchscreen. In addition, Samsung takes away the home button on the Galaxy View and puts the ports on the side of the device, which indicates that most of the time users will be using the tablet in landscape mode.
The ultra-large screen of the Galaxy View might consume a huge deal of battery so the tablet will be equipped with a big 5,700 mAh capacity battery. The resolution of the gadget might be on the low side at 1,080 x 1,920, so the screen would not be consuming too much battery all throughout the day.
Furthermore, Tech Radar added other specs that the newest tablet from Samsung might carry. The Galaxy View will be engineered with 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 processor that will work hand-in-hand with a 2 GB RAM. It will also be packed by a 32 GB of internal storage and sport a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
As for the Samsung Galaxy View's price, PC Advisor said on its article that there is no information yet. But it further stated that based on the specifications, the Galaxy View isn't particularly high-end. This means the device is much lower than its top-end Tab S2 tablets, having a starting price of 499 Euro for the larger model.
With the ultra-large screen of Samsung Galaxy View, it could potentially create a great competition with the other devices. But since the South Korean company hasn't uttered any word yet regarding the tablet, consumers still have to wait until Samsung confirms the specifics.
