Huawei Mate S is already expected to debut on October 22 after it was announced last month on the IFA event, but its launch was unfortunately pushed back to October 27. This device to be released next week is believed to be armored with amazing features and specs.
According to MobiPicker, the Huawei Mate S is the first smartphone which goes official with Force Touch display. However, this technology will be available only with the top-model which comes in 128GB internal storage. Unfortunately, this particular model will not be accessible yet in Malaysia anytime soon.
As for the device's features and specifications, NDTV Gadgets cited some on its article. The Huawei Mate S sports a 5.5" display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It is engineered by a Kirin 935 processor that works with 3 GB of RAM. As for its memory, this handset is packed with a 32 GB internal storage.
In terms of the camera, Huawei Mate S has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with flash and an 8-megapixel rear-facing snapper, perfect for selfies and video chats. This device will run on Google's Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and will be capable of 3G and 4G LTE connections.
Furthermore, Daily Express added that Huawei Mate S' screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The glass of this handset is slightly-curved and looks to bleed over the "dual diamond cut" edges around the slim 2.65mm frame.
For the Mate S' price, it will be tagged starting from €649, around £476, for the version with 32GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the 64GB model starts from €699, some £513.
While the fans might have been disappointed with the postponement of its release, Huawei is hopeful that the delay will be of help to prepare the Mate S to have a successful launch.
Will Huawei Mate S make a great rival in the smartphone industry?
