A few leaked images of HTC's newest smartphone, One A9, has surfaced on the wire, seemingly confirming the features and specifications of the forthcoming device. The company is slated to launch its next flagship this fall.
IBTimes notes that Cher Wang, CEO of HTC, hinted that the Taiwanese tech giant is working on a high-end smartphone, after the devastating response to the flagship One M9. The upcoming handset is reportedly named "HTC One A9," although there were a lot of websites which refered the device as "HTC Aero."
According to Christian Post this high-end device from HTC will sport a 5-inch 1080p resolution touchscreen display. This device has a thin side bezels and a thicker bottom bezel where a fingerprint scanner is located just below the screen.
This new smartphone is most likely to carry an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor which supports the new Quick Charge 3.0 technology that will bring the phone's battery up to full power after only an hour of charging. This device might also have an Adreno 405 GPU, and around by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The One A9 is also reported to sport a 13MP rear camera with a Sony sensor and optical image stabilization, as well as a 4MP Ultrapixel front shooter for selfies and video chats.The upcoming device will then be powered by a 2,150 mAh capacity battery.
The newest smartphone made by HTC is most likely to have a 2K display and may already come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, together with a pre-installed Sense 7, HTC's own user interface
The AndroidPIT reported that the One A9 will be available to the market sometime in October which is actually a nice time for pre-Christmas shopping.
These are merely rumors though. For now, those who are interested in HTC's next release would still have to wait for the company's official announcement. As for its price, there is still no confirmation as of late. But, rumor has it that the device's cost may range from $470 to $626.
