There's a new girl in "New Girl" and it's the hot actress with pouty lips Megan Fox.
The 29-year-old actress will temporarily replace the series main girl Zooey Deschanel. Fox will be stepping in as a new character for the show and will take on the role of Reagan, a pharmaceutical sales representative. And while she's filling the spot of Jess, Zooey's role, Fox's character is expected to bring about interesting dialogues and scenes with the other characters especially the guys who are fondly attached to Jess.
According to Star Pulse, the actress was spotted on her arrival at "New Girl's" set in Los Angeles this past October 19 to begin filming the show's 5th season.
While Fox will be taking on the spotlight for some time, Zooey's fans don't need to fret though because Jess will still be around in the first few episodes. The new mom was hard-working enough to be able to shoot a few scenes before officially taking her maternity leave.
As it's officially reported that Fox will cover for Zooey's absence, the two actresses were still able to meet each other on set and got to do one episode together as reported by People. The actress who's in hiatus for her baby got to share her excitement with casting Fox during the recent "Rock the Kasbah" movie premiere.
"I'm super excited. Essentially, (my character Jess) gets on jury duty and has to be sequestered, so the roommates rent out her room for a few weeks." Deschanel said.
According to Christian Today, it is currently uncertain how many episodes the "Transformers" actress will be in, but she will purportedly be filming long enough to do at least an episode more with Zooey when the actress gets back from her leave.
"New Girl" season 5 series premiere will be on January 2016.
