Acer is stepping up its game with regards to their smartphone line-ups. Two of their newest gaming smartphones are the Acer Predator 6 and the Acer Predator 8.
Recently, new hands-on images of the Predator 6 have spread through the Internet. The smartphone was already shown during the IFA 2015 in September, however, the new photos show what it looks like in close-up.
The Acer gaming smartphone will feature a four-speaker setup on the front, according to Android Headlines. It is supposed to give the user a more immersive experience while playing mobile video games.
In terms of audio, most users prefer to use in-ear buds or headphones for a better listening experience. The Predator 6's audio setup will just have to prove itself. The photos of the new gaming smartphone does look impressive. Sporting a 6-inch display, the overall design screams gaming. The design stays true to Acer's line of gaming laptops and high-end desktop rigs.
Inside the Acer Predator 6 is a decacore Mediatek Helio X20 SoC, according to Tom's Hardware. Unlike most flagship smartphones from Samsung or even Apple, it boasts 10 cores for the CPU.
Acer really wanted to put the emphasis on gaming. Besides the two Cortex A72 cores plus the eight 1.4GHz Cortex A53 cores, the phone also gets its juice from the massive 4000mAh battery. The Predator 6 also looks like the Acer Predator 8 tablet. Design-wise, almost all of the Predator products carry the same theme for a better appeal to their target market.
Acer's gaming smartphone and the tablet may also have another thing in common. They both support the Predator Quadio, according to Emirates247.
Just like the Acer Predator 8, the smartphone may also run the Android operating system out of the box. The launch date for the Acer Predator 6 is expected next year around April.
Acer's Predator 8 and Predator 6 Android devices look like twins. However, how will the smartphone compare to the tablet?
