Konami has introduced some changes to nuclear weapons ownership in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Meanwhile, a 180MB update for the title has also been launched on PC earlier this week.
One of the many secrets of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain that was just discovered by data mining is the Nuclear Disarmament ending. This ending, however, is not part of the cut content and players will still have to explore on how to get it. Also, never seen before cutscenes have surfaced online which are possibly related to the Nuclear Disarmament ending.
Building nuclear weapon arsenal is a part of the game's FOB system where players can build their own Forwarding Operating Bases and attack other bases built by other players to steal resources and soldiers. The nuclear weapons are the players' defense for their FOB from invaders and with the new tweak for the nuclear weapon ownership, players can enjoy an even bigger advantage starting today, notes Geek Snack.
The more nuclear weapons the players will build, the less likely will its FOB to be invaded by other players. Also, the bonus for a successful invasion has also been increased. The players' ability to build nuclear weapons is reportedly related to a cutscene and an ending that was just discovered by data mining on the game's PC version.
Just recently, a new 180 megabytes update for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been released on PC but with no patch notes yet, Segment Next reports. The update has removed the golden bionic arm and Quiet's Sniper Wolf outfit is no longer available.
A new mod for the PC version of the game has also been released last week named as Hardcore Mod. It introduces several gameplay changes and increases the difficulty level by increasing the enemy's hearing and vision ranges, additional benefits for the weather, increased bullet damage, and many more.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was released on September 1 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC/Steam.
