iOS 9.1 highlights improvements to phone security, performance, and more

iOS 9.1 was released on October 21 and the update brings significant experiences, according to users. This is due to the introduction of new features of the latest version of the Apple mobile operating system. These include fixes to bugs, improvements to applications, enhanced and more stable phone performance, and better battery life.

The new emojis contain 150 icons to the keyboard which improves Live Photos and Messages applications, which brings entertainment for the social media, according to Value Walk. To specify the improvement in Live Photos, the report mentioned that the device can detect when the images are moving and ensures that the portion is not recorded. On that note, blurry videos can be avoided through the new iOS version.

iOS 9.1 also brings improvement to News app, Apple Maps, new Apple Music, and System font, according to the related report. Apple Maps has now wider data and better search results compared to previous iOS version. In addition, Apple Music is now pre-installed upon the update which provides simpler and more intuitive user interface.

Moreover, Christian Today reported that users who updated to iOS 9.1 can gain more protection from hackers and can avoid memory corruption. Bug fixes are not just limited to mobile phones only but to desktops, servers, and Windows too, the report added.

On the other hand, Forbes said that if users have plans to jailbreak, they should not update iOS 9.1 in their devices. Apple Loop stated in the report, "Jailbreaking has become less popular in recent years as iOS has delivered ever more features as standard, but for those wedded to jailbreaking their iPhones the message is clear: stay away from iOS 9.1 until you hear more from PanGu." For those who are not familiar, PanGu Company is the one responsible for jailbreaking iOS.

Indeed, it is notable that iOS 9.1 introduces significant improvements to iOS devices. As of now, Apple has no statement yet on the issue of jailbreaking iOS 9.1.
