The year-long emotional journey of Kody Brown towards his adoption of Robyn's children from a previous marriage ended Sunday night in "Sister Wives" Season 6 Episode 10. Their lawyer confirmed the judge's approval of the adoption and the name change of Dayton, Aurora and Breanna to Brown.
Kody is the first one to appear in the episode titled "A Judge Decides" to explain how crucial it is for him to have the legal rights over the children handed to him reports IB Times. However, the Brown family did not know if it was going to happen as they concede that Kody being a known practicing polygamist might work against them.
Kody's third sister wife Christine back in Episode 4 stated that the judge's decision will come down on how he feels about plural families reveals Christian Today. However, after the hearing which Dayton described as tensed, the judge finally decided to give his permission for the adoption of the three children.
"This is what it was all about - it was all about the kids," says Meri, the first sister wife, who had to divorce Kody so he can legally marry Robyn according to Fashion n Style. "It wasn't about me or a legal marriage or a legal divorce. It was about the kids. And it was definitely worth it."
Also in the same episode of "Sister Wives" Season 6 was Madison's big announcement. The 19 year old daughter of Kody and his second sister wife Janelle revealed that she is seeing Caleb Brush, the brother-in-law of Kody's brother and who is 10 years her senior.
Madison goes on to explain the heartbreaking story of their first meeting which was after the death of Kody's brother, Curtis. Kody gave his approval for Madison's new beau and even said that he couldn't have picked better if he had to pick one himself.
Meri, Christine and Robyn also shared their approval and excitement for Madison who later announced that she became engaged to Caleb in September. However, she confessed that she wasn't sure she and Caleb shared the same feelings for each other but is hoping that he does.
