“Dancing With the Stars” Season 21 Spoilers: Week 7 to feature Halloween-themed performances, team freestyle battle rounds back on track

By

Week 7 on the 21st season of "Dancing with the Stars" promises to deliver spookily amazing performances and will mark the return of a fan-favorite round that will put the contestants to the test.

It's another week of dancing courtesy of the folks from ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" and this time, the stakes are even higher. Following the departure of Paula Deen who had a falling out in terms of performance in week 6, the competition has been trimmed down to eight pairs - all of which are not willing to go down without a fight.

This week's theme is in line with the upcoming Halloween season and with a lineup as fierce as this, each of the dancing pairs need to get their everything together so that they can put on a spectacular show.

"They just have to get the right dances, the right songs, the right choreography, the right judges in the right mindset, and the right fans to be ready to vote for them. Not much to ask, right?," WetPaint reports.

Week 7 will also feature the very popular Freestyle Team Dances. The remaining eight pairs are going to be grouped into two big teams and will be working with each other. Still consistent with the Halloween theme, the two groups shall be named team Who You Gonna Call (comprised of Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough, Alexa PenVega and Mark Ballas, Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson, Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold) and team Nightmare (composed of Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy, Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess, Andy Grammer and Allison Holker, Hayes Grier and Emma Slater), according to the International Business Times.

Team Who You Gonna Call will be channeling the cult classic Ghostbusters theme song of the same name. On the other hand, team Nightmare will be performing "This is Halloween" from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Buddy TV notes that Team Who You Gonna Call might have the upper hand here as Derek Hough is part of the lineup and the dancer has been well known for acing all the freestyle team battles. They also noted that the combined creative juices of Hough and fellow dancer Mark Ballas gives the team a clear advantage.

Catch the thrilling events of this week's "Dancing with the Stars", Mondays 8:00 pm and Tuesdays 9:00 pm on ABC.
