If gamers and fans alike have missed the opportunity to experience "StarCraft" and/or its "Brood War" expansion, they now have the chance to play them. A new "StarCraft: Mass Recall" mod lets players relive all six campaigns from "StarCraft 1." The said mod includes the complete maps, campaigns and features of the latest installment's predecessors.
According to Yibada, the forthcoming installment in the franchise "StarCraft: Mass Recall" includes all the original sceneries, dialogues, instructions, as well as voiceovers of the characters. If the cut scenes from the first two games, additional maps and scenes, were not included in the previous versions, they are now reportedly added into the newest game. Furthermore, the previous campaigns are said to be played in three different difficulty levels.
Reports also have it that the six maps found from the demo campaign, which dates back to 1998, are to be included in the "StarCraft: Mass Recall." The game developers have created the images sharper and clearer than they were before in "StarCraft 1" and "Brood War."
However, as what Cinema Blend reported, users can only download and play "StarCraft: Mass Recall" if "StarCraft 2" along with its expansion "Heart of the Swarm" has already been downloaded. In addition, the installation of the game will reportedly take a period of time, especially that the game is not something that is grabbed through Arcade.
Gamespresso, on the other hand, noted about the recreation of "StarCraft 2" engine which was incredibly and faithfully based on the original game. It is believed to consist of cutscenes and levels that were either from the demo in the past or didn't make the cut at all. The publication added that the amount of time and love given to the mod is quite remarkable.
As of this time, details about "StarCraft: Mass Recall's" plot as well as its other features have not been released; nonetheless, gamers can be hyped knowing that nostalgia will once again creep after the latest mod lets them relive campaigns starting from "StarCraft 1."
