Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer in the world is being rumored of releasing its new Xiaomi Mi5. The alleged device with an unconfirmed release date yet could be the first device from Xiaomi to feature a pressure-sensitive display.
According to TGC, the Xiaomi Mi5 leaked specs and features have circulated previously, and insiders that are familiar with the Xiaomi have stated that the device will be nothing short of impressive. It is suggested it will come in 5.2-inch Quad-HD resolution IPS LCD display while others peg an FHD resolution as the selected one for the handset.
The Xiaomi Mi5 will feature either a Snapdragon 820 CPU or Snapdragon 810 CPU as a new HiSilicon CPU. The handset's storage options will set out at 32 GB, which sounds pretty nifty, and RAM will be between 3 and 4GB.
What's more, it will reportedly boast a battery with 3000mAh that was stated as an important aspect of the Xiaomi Mi5. Sources have mentioned that users should presume a battery that can last at least two days of battery life on regular use. Depending on the chipset, the handset will sport either Quick Charge 2.0, Quick Charge 3.0 or fast charging. In addition, a Qi-enabled wireless charging is also rumored to be included.
It is said that a two SIM card slots look guaranteed for the new Xiaomi Mi5 as well as a MicroSD card slot. On the other hand, since the new handset is anticipated to feature feature an aluminum-alloy unibody with chamfered edges and a strong, durable body, it's unlikely to feature a removable battery.
For camera configuration, the Mi 5 will sport either feature a 13 or a 16MP sensor, along with a dual-tone flash and autofocus. It could also feature Optical image stabilization but take it with a grain of salt. A wide-angle 5 MP sensor with a possible single-tone flash was said to feature on the front camera.
As for more of its rumored specifications, the Mi 5 was stated to be the first Xiaomi device to feature a pressure-sensitive display. It is also said that this device will be the first smartphone to have a Snapdragon 820 under the hood, Tech times wrote.
A report from Phone Arena has stated that the Xiaomi mi5 has a fresh leak and proposing that it will also come with the trendy pressure-sensitive display technology known as Force Touch, and is similar to what Apple has with their iPhone 6s and 6s Plus 3D Touch displays.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is predicted to be released in December 2015 or January 2016, however, there is no official confirmation from the company so far. It is also said that the new handset could be seen as early as November.
