Fossil Android Wear Dubbed as Q Founder Unveiled Alongside 3 Other Q Timepieces; New Powerhouse Smartwatch Available This Holiday Season

Fossil, one of the traditional watchmakers, has announced its new Fossil Q line with an entire variety of connected wearables and with the Android Wear-powered Q Founder that will serve as its flagship.

According to The Verge, three of the four Q watches come as typical analog timepieces, incorporated with electronics into their bands for activity tracking. The Q Reveler and Q Dreamer can be purchased at $125 while its Q Grant version is priced at $175-$195. These latest watches are well-suited with Fossil's app for the iOS and Android which delivers the capability to mirror notifications to the watches as well as the track activity.

Nevertheless, the top of the line model is considered its Q Founder that operates Android Wear with an integration of a full touchscreen display. Its power comes from Intel chips and bears a price tag that starts at $275, which is a bit less than the new crop of mainstream Android Wear watches by Motorola and Huawei. The company hasn't provided release date for the Q Founder but noted that it will be available during the holiday season.

The Fossil Q Founder is presented as "a powerhouse packed into an elegant package". It is reported that there are no too many information about it, however it's stated to sport a metallic body and a circular display that is pretty big and will work with Android handsets and iPhones, Phone Arena wrote.

Moreover, a report from Forbes has stated that this latest round-faced smartwatch is now official together with a trio of other connected wearables. The Fossil Q Grant presents as an analog fitness tracker along the similar lines as the Withings Activité range. On the other hand, the Fossil Q Dreamer and Reveler are a pair of connected smart bracelets.

In addition, the Fossil Q Founder follows the Tag Heuer Connected's lead through uniting Intel processing power and Google's software.
