Ant-Man Themed Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Possibly in the Works

Samsung has been known to launch a wide array of colors and designs for their phones- black, white, gold, and, the latest talks, Ant-Man red.

The Korean-based tech company will be releasing a limited edition Samsung Galaxy Edge+ in an Ant-Man-themed design. Citing a Chinese tipster, International Business Times states that Samsung has renewed a partnership with Marvel Entertainment and is working with the studio to build the collector's edition of Ant-Man, one of the superheroes recently released in a Marvel movie. Samsung is yet to respond to the reports.

Earlier this year, Samsung released Galaxy S6 handsets Edge with an Iron Man design series in selected markets. The collector's edition smartphone was released as one of the 1,000 limited production devices and sold for about $1,079 in June as told by Tech Times.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's specs include a 5.7-inch dual-curved Quad HD Super AMOLED display, octa-core Exynos processor, and 4GB of RAM. The device also boasts a 16-megapixel rear camera with optimal image stabilization and a 5-megapixel front camera. The Ant-Man edition is expected to have the same specs.

Ant-Man, as movie fanatics will recall, premiered last June 2015 and was received well by viewers, nearing $500 Million in world-wide sales and received a score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie had Paul Rudd, Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish and Adam McKay as casts of the movie.

Latino Post stresses out that for the meantime, this remains to be a rumour and could possibly be a consolation for the Marvel and Samsung fans who aimed to get the Iron Man edition, but missed the opportunity.

Seeing that the Iron Man version had a matching wireless charger, chances are that the Ant-Man edition will also come with one. Besides the rumoured Ant-Man theme outer design, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also comes in the colors black, white, gold and blue.
