Google Nexus 6P Gets Images for Android 6.0 Marshmallow

By

The Google Nexus 6P started shipping last Friday for Android users who have placed first orders on Google's latest smartphones. They are expected to arrive to their new owner's doorsteps anytime early this week.

The Nexus 6P will be launching with the latest Google mobile operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Google has finally uploaded the factory image for its newest handheld as Android Headlines shares.

The largest amongst Nexus products, Nexus 6P is actually done in partnership with Huawei. There are two builds available for 6P - MDA89D and MDB08K - though the differences between both have yet to be released by Google. The the builds have been listed as Android 5.1.1, the build numbers indicate that they are actually Marshmallow builds.

For the most part, the images are not something 6P owners will be needing necessarily. They will, however, be useful to have around in case something happens to the smartphone. Gizbot does say though that support for Project Fi may be one of the possible apparent reasons behind the release of two factory images.

Factory Images are mainly meant for Android app developers and/or enthusiasts of the Google OS' app building circle, who want to make updated versions of applications for the operating system.

Google Nexus 6P has been warmly accepted by many reviewers, as numerous critics gave a thumbs ups to the product. Brandon Russell of Techno Buffalo gladly states :

"The Nexus 6P is different-or comes about as close to perfection as I've seen. What I find most impressive is how the Nexus 6P's excellence feels so natural, like it isn't trying too hard to be the best. It just is. Everything works in perfect harmony to create one of the most exciting devices in a long, long time."

Russell goes on to say that the Nexus 6P is by far the best Google-made device available.

The Nexus, built with aeronautical-grade aluminium, has a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED screen (2560×1440, 518 ppi), 810 chip and 3GB of RAM (plus Marshmallow) and offers devices with a memory starting as low as 32GB and as high as 128GB.
