This week's episode of "Bones" Season 11 titled "The Resurrection in the Remains" will be the much anticipated crossover episode with "Sleepy Hollow". The two operatives from the not so quiet town, Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison), will go to the Jeffersonian to claim a headless body.
The synopsis by Christian Today reveals that the agents from the two shows must work together to piece together the puzzling case of a 200-year-old corpse with its head missing that has a connection with a recent murder victim. They must figure out how the two cases are linked before they can proceed with their respective investigations. It will be interesting to see if Brennan ( Emily Deschanel) and the rest of the Jeffersonian team can work well with their old fashioned and peculiar counterparts.
Booth (David Boreanaz), along with the others will initially think that the "Sleepy Hollow" duo were there for a Halloween costume party. The promo for the crossover episode in "Bones" Season 11 shows his dumbfounded reaction to the weirdness of their visitors. It is not until Brennan and Ichabod got trapped and needed rescuing that things finally get real to him.
Showrunners Jonathan Collier and Clifton Campbell for "Bones" and "Sleepy Hollow" respectively recently spoke with Hollywood Reporter about the crossover episode. Both acknowledged the differing tones of the shows but took note of the undeniable chemistry among the four main characters. Campbell said that not one of the characters appeared to have gone too far out of his comfort zone. Just the right amount of the tone from each show set a platform for all of the four characters to really shine.
Campbell said that the crossover is timely. "It's our Halloween show and hits on all cylinders. It lands emotionally for us and there's really fun moments at the end where all four of them look at each other and go, 'Yeah, that's kind of cool. We should do this again some day'."
Collier meanwhile mentioned that everything about the two hours of the episode is fun and entertaining reports Enstarz. He added that it was an adventure that viewers normally wouldn't get to see the characters take if not for the crossover.
