'Suits' Season 5 Spoilers: Aaron Korsh won’t prioritize whistleblower’s identity; Same goes for Harvey, Donna relationship?

By

It will be a long wait for "Suits" fans that are eager to know who the person behind Mike's arrest for fraud is. The second half of the show's Season 5 will not premiere until next year yet and when it does come back, the big reveal will not happen right away.

In fact, showrunner Aaron Korsh initially did not even want to explore Mike's whistleblower revelation until he was asked by more and more people about it. Although he decided to tackle it eventually, he is not making it his priority.

Franchise Herald reports that Korsh said, "We're not going to find out in [episode] 511, but we will find out down the line." Unfortunately, he did not provide concrete clues on the identity of the whistleblower. "It could have been any one of them. Or, it could have been someone who found out who hadn't known before. It could have been a friend, foe, a neutral party or someone who has never even met Mike."

There have been a lot of speculations and theories that have cropped up but none is more popular than the one pointing to Rachel's parents as the culprits reports Christian Post. They could simply be protecting their daughter by preventing her marriage to a con man.

In mapping out the whistleblower storyline, Korsh revealed that the show's creative team ran through the whole gamut of possible suspects before landing on someone they liked. He said the choice was "necessarily poetic" and he is hoping for a new kind of reaction from the audience.

Another major concern that needs to be addressed on the show's return is the relationship between Harvey and Donna. The two spent the first half of the season away from each other due to a major conflict involving work. They found themselves on a date by the midseason finale. However, Donna ended it by admitting that she is with someone now.

Korsh said in an interview with TV Line that while the Harvey-Donna relationship will definitely be discussed, the last six episodes of Season 5 will be more focused on Mike Ross and what he's going through in the wake of his arrest.

The second half of "Suits" season 5 will air on January 2016 with episode 11 titled "Blowback". The episode is said to answer all questions regarding Mike's arrest.
