Katsuhiro Harada announced the release of "Tekken 7" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One during Sony's press conference at the Paris Games Week. Currently, the game is available in arcades in Japan, though there have been arcade tests at select locations across North America. In addition, the console version promises to be the most enhanced and complete form of the game.

Earlier this month, many speculated that "Tekken 7" will arrive on console come 2016. Fortunately, as reported by VG247, Japanese game producer Katsuhiro Harada took center stage to announce the PlayStation 4 release of the critically acclaimed 3D fighting game "Tekken 7." In addition, the game will also reportedly be coming to Xbox One and will support PlayStation VR.

Gamespot, on the other hand, noted that despite Harada revealing the release of "Tekken 7" to the said consoles, he has yet to provide an official release date. Nonetheless, he did mention about the game's console version having new content, one that is not seen in the original arcade version. It is also worth noting that this announcement immediately follows the news about Bandai Namco's free-to-play PC fighting game "Rise of the Incarnates," which is said to be going offline three months after its release.

"Tekken 7" is under Bandai Namco Entertainment's development spearheaded by the franchise's director Katsuhiro Harada. The game is powered by Unreal Engine and is set to showcase new standards of graphic quality, highly detailed characters, and dynamic environments. In addition, "Tekken 7" will be featuring several modes and enhancements far from its arcade counterpart.

Meanwhile, Gematsu shared about how "Tekken 7" will return to its gameplay roots. Although the game will still display the classic 1 vs 1 fighting, it reportedly will feature a cannon storyline that is centered on the eternal struggle for power within the Mishima clan. A newcome is said to be featured in "Tekken 7" named Kazumi Mishima who will join the fight in the epic battle between father-son and husband-wife.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users are definitely hyped knowing that they can finally get hold of "Tekken 7." But then again, Katsuhiro Harada is yet to unwrap the official release date. In the meantime, time can only tell.
