Without a doubt, avid gamers are probably imagining what chaos "Skyrim 2" might offer in the near future. It's not a wonder the highly-anticipated game came out as the popular choice in Ubisoft's survey results. Unfortunately for them though, they will have to wait a few years more, as the release of "Elder Scrolls 6" is pushed back to 2019.
According to Yibada, video game developer Ubisoft recently conducted a survey asking gamers what soon-to-be-released games they're highly excited about. No surprise there as the results show "Elder Scrolls 6," or as what others call it as "Skyrim 2," to be the most popular among the choices provided.
Although "Elder Scrolls 6" has yet to have an official release date, many speculated that it should be release in 2016. However, Parent Herald reported that "Elder Scrolls 6" is meant to be seen online and that fans will most likely experience it in 2019. If Bethesda's trend for "Elder Scrolls" is to be followed and counting the 2014 online version as part of the franchise, it is highly likely that the game will exist in 2019, not 2016 as it is rumored.
It is also worth noting that video game developer Bethesda is focused on the release of "Fallout 4," which speculations say could be the reason for "Elder Scrolls 6's" delay. In fact, preparations for the latest "Fallout" installment as well as its finishing touches have kept the studio occupied.
Crossmap, on the other hand, noted that indeed "Elder Scrolls 6" is in the works as what Vice President of PR and Marketing Pine Hine has confirmed. However, when it comes to early releases, that's not how Bethesda plays the game. They are reportedly not "the sort of publisher that focuses on what's our 25 titles for 2015" and that they don't really "publish to scale, we try to publish to quality."
So despite fans wanting a 2016 "Elder Scrolls 6" release, it seems they have to accept the possibility of a 2019 release instead. It's enough for them to know that the game is in the works, though.
