'Far Cry Primal' Update: Trailer Reveals Mammoth and Saber-tooth Tiger; Game To Take Players Back To Stone Age

After some series of livestream and image teasers, Ubisoft has finally announced their next major entry in its well-established Far Cry series - the "Far Cry Primal." The game's official trailer has been released, featuring both mammoth and saber-tooth tiger prominently. And unlike the past ones, all of which took place in a modern setting, "Far Cry Primal" will reportedly take players back to the dawn of humankind - the Stone Age, that is.

According to Design & Trend, players will get to experience the Stone Age in all of its vast and perilous glory, as they play "Far Cry Primal." They will be stepping into the primitive shoes of an established hunter named Tukkar, as he hunts great beasts. Interesting enough, players will be forging new set of weapons and equipment using either bones or skins.

Overmental, on the other hand, reported that Ubisoft has released the official trailer for "Far Cry Primal," which includes a first-person, open-world "shooter" as one of its gameplay specifics. In the trailer, viewers can see a mammoth and a saber-tooth tiger. In addition, it is not a surprise that the said game puts much focus on surviving the local wildlife, as hunting has since played a big part in the "Far Cry" franchise.

But the thrill doesn't just stop there, as "Far Cry Primal" will reportedly feature lots and lots of huge animals, as reported by iDigitalTimes. It is worth noting that during the Stone Age, species such as giant sloths, moas, dire-wolves and giant beavers are predominant. The publication added that getting mauled by these animals is at the heart of the "Far Cry Primal" experience.

As for the very end of "Far Cry Primal" trailer, the protagonist can be seen being attacked by a slew of strange-looking tribespeople. So, aside from the mammoth and the saber-tooth tiger, this game will surely offer more Stone Age experience for gamers.

"Far Cry Primal" will be released on February 23, 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One, while the PC version will be on March 2016.
