Sega shares 90-minute gameplay footage of English Localization for Yakuza 5; New protagonists, Japan’s big cities expected

With the rumored release of Yakuza 5 sometime next month, Sega America just showed a 90-minute playthrough video displaying several parts of the game. Kazuma Kiryu is once again breaking some faces in the seedy Kamurocho.

Siliconera shared the lengthy video and credited PR Rep John Hardin and Yakuza 5 Localization Producer Sam Mullen for the first live action of Yakuza 5's English build. This over an hour footage includes some taxi drifting, street fights, chicken races, and a mini-game for Taiko no Tatsujin.

This English footage from the game will also feature a mode called 'Premium Adventure' which users can explore the Japanese district with no worries about the story, said Push Square. From this mode, it will be bone-crunching action moves and really dangerous taxi driving.

Sega has offered an explanation in the past as to why release date of Yakuza 5 has firm release date. They said that it is because of some localization issues and insertion of text is also causing them some troubles. Sega seems to have addressed some bugs little by little.

Vg247 reported that the Western release of Yakuza 5 will be fully localised in English language and will also include all the Japanese DLC. The fully-localized build will feature five protagonists and the scenes will take place in five big cities in Japan.

Yakuza 5 is known to bring Kazuma, Shun, and Taiga back in the scene. Kazuma's surrogate daughter named Haruka Sawamura and former baseball player, Tatsuo Shinada, will also be seen. As with all the past Yakuza games, Kazuma will find himself in the middle of an underworld's business in upcoming Yakuza 5.While Yakuza 5 took years to make it into the West, SEGA and Sony hope to release Yakuza 5 for PlayStation 3 sometime in November.

Others still think that the game will wait until 2016 to be released. However, many fans are very hopeful that the official launch for Yakuza 5 is near since Sega already shared a 90-minute gameplay footage of the game's English localization.
