Blizzard made the official announcement of the Overwatch beta earlier this month. This first public beta was scheduled for tomorrow, October 27, where some US players will have access to the beta test.

According to Blizzard's site, this test is designed to gather feedback and stress-test the game's infrastructure. Furthermore, the company explained that its beta will break down the participants into two major groups with their respective objectives.

"The Closed Beta group will form the core of our testing crew. In addition, we'll be conducting a number of Beta Test Weekends with wider groups of players when it's time to break out the big guns," says the post on their site.

Take note that the beta for Overwatch will only work for Windows PCs players need to install the Battle.net desktop app in order to play the game.

These two separate group of beta testers for Overwatch were explained by Kit Guru. One group was said to have game access at all times. This first group may include many participants from Twitch streamers and YouTubers for raising excitement on the game. On the other hand, the second group will receive 'weekend' invites where the players will gain access to the beta for only few days at a time.

In another report from Inquisitr, the voice chat will be available within the Battle.net client during the Overwatch beta. This will give gamers a means to voice communicate in Blizzard's new game. While the latest voice chat option is integrated within Overwatch, this chat is not confirmed to work for all of Blizzard's games.

Overwatch may not have an official release date as of now, but lots of gamers want to join the beta testing that will start on Oct. 27. They don't mind being on group one or two among the participants, for as long as they can get their hands on the game.
