Last month Google has unveiled two smartphones together with its newest Pixel C Tablet, this device will battle out against the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. As these devices were to be compared it is worth knowing which one will get the top spot.
According to a keen comparison made by Neurogadget, the screen of the Pixel C is a bit smaller as it measures 10.2-inch with IPS display which is supports a resolution of up to 2560×1800 pixels. The images that this device features are pretty sharp due to its 308 ppi pixel density. Meanwhile, its rival Surface 3 uses a ClearType screen with an aspect ratio of 3:2. The device's diagonal of 10.8-inch and its resolution is Full HD, and 214ppi pixel density.
Hardware wise, the Pixel C is used a big.LITTLE Nvidia Tegra X1 octa-core processor which is paired with Nvidia Maxwell GPU and 3GB of RAM. This device has two variants of internal memories: 32GB and 64GB, both were not expandable. In contrary, the Surface 3 is engineered by an Intel Atom x7-Z8700 quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.6 GHz, but the speed can be increased up to 2.40 GHz. This tablet manufactured by Microsoft is packed with 2 GB or 4 GB LPDDR3 1600 MHz, Intel HD Graphics. It also has two variants of internal memories with capacities of 64 and 128GB, but there is room for extra storage up to 200GB via microSD card.
Tech Gadget Central added that the Google Pixel C Tablet is armed with an 8-megapixel primary camera and the secondary camera is equipped with a 2MP sensor. On the other hand, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is packed with same 8-megapixel camera just like the Pixel C Tablet but the front- facing camera appears to be better as it has a 3.5-megapixel sensor.
As for the price of the devices, Paste Magazine specifies that the Pixel-C starts at $499 for its 32GB version, while the keyboard is going to cost you an extra $149. Meanwhile, the Surface 3 also starts at $499, but the difference is that the storage option will start at 64GB. In addition, the Microsoft's Surface 3 keyboard is a bit cheaper at $129.
With these specs comparison and reviews, both Google Pixel C Tablet and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 showed its detailed assets and down side. It is for the users of the device to decide which handset will fit in to their needs and wants.
