Last month, Microsoft announced that a public beta release of the Xbox App will be available to gamers as well as to Windows 10 Insiders. The new app is now available on Microsoft Store and is said to come with new features, which includes better social media connectivity. According to the software giant, the idea here is for people to find other players more easily via social media. The app enables users to set and link their Facebook account with theirr Xbox Live account.
The Xbox App beta came out first as the Xbox One Preview that lets people access and test various features before they become available to the public. Whether a feature is good or bugged, the testers can provide feedback based on their experience.
On the similar sense, Microsoft says that the new application aims to get input from fans based on their observation with the app. The new features and enhancements are intended to come to the Xbox app for Windows 10, and thus, they need to be tested before they are officially released.
One of the changes that some fans would like is that the Windows 10 Store app is no longer required to open. Gamers can now access both Windows and Xbox games within the Xbox One Beta App alone. The persistent search bar updates as they switch between Windows 10 or Xbox One games. If they already have an Xbox One game, they can simply launch it using the "Play from console" link.
A "Redeem a code" link has been added as well, allowing players to redeem a code from the App. If they get the code as part of a message they can redeem by going to the link in the message similar on the Xbox One.
Xbox App beta can be tested for free under Windows 10 environment and insiders can give their feedback via Insider's hub. This can be downloaded via Microsoft Store.
