Avalanche Studios announced that Just Cause 3 will run at 900p on Xbox One and 1080p on PS4. The game can uniquely render varied resolutions on each gaming console.
Game Director Roland Lesterlin was asked by GamingBolt regarding the resolution Just Cause 3 can render on PS4 and Xbox One. He said: "The game runs at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One. We do so much with physics and screen space effects, that we are confident our players will thoroughly enjoy themselves no matter the platform they play the game on."
After the announcement from the Project Director himself, GameSpot shared their Reality Check episode video where they found out that many people still cannot identify the difference in resolution as well as frame-rate between PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
While some players may not see the difference between 900p and 1080p, Just Cause 3 is the newest game that can render a high resolution on PS4; with latest examples including two Game of the Year contenders, which are The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid V.
A technical analysis which is done recently showed that the Xbox version of Metal Gear Solid V "holds its own" against the version of PlayStation 4. Whether the resolution is easily perceivable or not, such thing is considered PR hurdle for Microsoft.
Developed by Avalanche's studio in New York, Just Cause 3 is an open-world game mixed with opportunities for an explosive gameplay and vehicular carnage.
The game will need a space of 42.49 GB on Xbox One hard drive while the file size information for both PlayStation 4 and PC version of Just Cause 3 are still not announced.
Just Cause 3 will be out on December 1 on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One, said VG247.
Whether gamers can identify the difference between the game's resolution is a matter for debate. Everyone is just celebrating now that Just Cause 3 will run at 900p on Xbox One and 1080p on PS4.
