The premiere episode of "Supergirl" had been shown this week on CBS and it was a record-breaking episode as it drew in a lot of viewers. Ahead of the second episode airing, three sneak peeks have been released by the show as well as promotional photos to get the fans all the more hyped up.
According to ComingSoon.net, the synopsis for "Supergirl" episode 2 entitled "Stronger Together" reads: "When Kara's attempts to help National City don't go according to plan, she must put aside the doubts that she - and the city's media - has about her abilities in order to capture an escapee from the Kryptonian prison, Fort Rozz. Also, Cat pressures James to use his connection to Superman to get her an interview with Supergirl."
In a report by TV Line, the second episode will be showing Kara learning more about her superpowers as she had a shaky start just like her cousin Superman did. In the photos that were released for episode 2, James is seen being pressured by Cat as per the synopsis. Also in the photos, James talks to Kara about what Cat wants him to do.
It was also shown that one of the villains that Kara will be facing, Fort Rozz. As reported by Movie Web, the disappointment on Supergirl will be expressed by the media but that will not stop her from wanting to save the city.
"Supergirl" is based on the story of Kara Zor-El, a cousin of Superman who was able to escape Krypton with the help of her parents. She had been raised by her foster family here on Earth by the Danvers but had to conceal her powers in order to keep her identity as a secret. However, at 24, she has been contacted by Hank Henshaw, the head of a super-secret agency and she has been enlisted to help them protect National City.
Melissa Benoist leads the cast of the new CBS show and acts alongside Mehcad Brooks, Laura Benanti, Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Iddo Goldberg, David Harewood, Dean Cain, and Peter Facinelli.
"Stronger Together" will be about Kara exploring her superpowers and proving to herself and to National City that she can protect them from danger. Episode 2 of "Supergirl" airs on Monday at 8 PM.
