Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphones under Verizon Wireless is confirmed bound for the testing phase of Android 6.0 Marshmallow software in November. Slated due the first quarter of 2016, the Marshmallow update will bring in refinements for the Galaxy S6 of Verizon along with its native features.
Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S6 units are currently under the manufacturer development phase of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, wherein the South Korean tech giant is incorporating the new software with its own. The process shall proceed to the testing phase when it is already deemed successful.
In the testing phase, certification procedure of the mobile carrier will be undertaken and the performance of the new build will be assessed if it will be allowed to be released or not.
Official roll out will commence only if testing is pronounced satisfactory. According to the Samsung's official list of its Marshmallow plans, Galaxy S6 across the board will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software in the first quarter of 2016. Previous reports already have surfaced that the upgrade might come as early as January.
The biggest and most refined software upgrade in Android history brings in several key features and enhancements. Apps Permissions is one of the most notable and most improved apps of Android.
Before downloading an app, users are will be asked to load possible actions that could be performed. Google will send alerts if an app newly installed does something for the first time. Users also have the option to deny a suggestion action.
To accept all asked permissions, go to Settings and apps permissions to change status to "accept all." Revoking it can also be done easily. However, frequent notifications will be sent.
Samsung Galaxy S6 is a 5.7-inch smartphone with Super AMOLED screen display. The device on Verizon costs from US 580 to 860 dollars depending on the contract.
Other Samsung phones bound for Marshmallow testing include Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5, among others.
