Sony revealed a slew of games for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR slated for release in 2016 in the Paris Game Week. One of the highlights of the event was the mystic game Wild, credited for its very realistic images and open-ended gameplay.
Sony unveiled the game titles for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR in the Paris Game Week as per a report by The Sydney Morning Herald. The games were set for launch on the PlayStation devices in 2016. Some of the games mentioned already had a schedule release date like Uncharted 4, which is expected to launch on March 18, 2016.
Among the titles in Sony's roster of games for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR are: Gran Turismo Sport, Robinson: The Journey, Tekken 7, Uncharted 4, Street Fighter 4, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, and Wild. Trailers of some of these games can be viewed online and give a feel of how the games will play out.
Gran Turismo Sport is a racing game by Polyphony Digital that is made even more realistic. Sony will release a beta version of the game for the PlayStation VR to offer an "immersive driving experience" to gamers.
Another game for Sony's augmented reality device is Robinson: The Journey, where the player becomes an explorer in a world filled with prehistoric dinosaurs. It highly resembles Jurassic Park and it is made by developer Crytek.
Another familiar title coming to the PlayStation VR is Tekken 7. The game has already launched on Japan in early 2015. Tekken 7 will also be available for the PlayStation 4.
The official trailer for Uncharted 4 showed that the game is an action-filled multiplayer game complete with various characters and mystical power-ups. It was created by Naughty Dog which announced that the beta version of the game will be available on December 4 to December 13 of 2015.
NDTV Gadgets reported that the highlight of the Paris Game Week was a game called Wild by Michel Ancel, creator of Rayman. In the game Wild, players become a shaman who will have the ability to summon different kinds of animals. The goal of the game is to save a tribe member who was poisoned by venom in a snake bite.
The trailer showed mystic and captivating sceneries featured in Wild. Ancel said that the game is open-ended, meaning nothing was pre-written and users can choose from various options to discover different endings. Ancel is known for creating Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil.
Venture Capital Post earlier reported that the PlayStation VR is a perfect example of augmented reality gaming. It is said to offer users an immersive, 3D gaming experience better than the Samsung Gear VR.
Other games set to arrive on the Sony PlayStation VR are RIGS, London Heist, and The Assembly. The PlayStation VR is expected to launch on early February 2016 along with the games bundled with it.
