Quantic Dream has been under the radar for quite some time. Now that the timing may be right, a new title is set to surface, and the star of the said game may be a familiar face to some in a good way.
According to Engadget, Quantic Dream, the studio responsible for the titles Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, has lingered peacefully for quite some time, but now, the need for a new game may be in order, and the new title Detroit: Become Human, is seemingly living up to the necessity. Though the originality of the title may be in question, the promise of a more diverse feat should suffice for the time being.
Delivered by CDA News, David Cage and the entire team of Quantic Dream was currently noted to have come up with a new technological breakthrough in the form of Detroit: Become Human. As the title may apparently speak of, the theme of the game revolves around the adventures of an AI that looks to explore the ins and outs of being human. This fictional masterpiece, to others, may seem to be the first of its kind, but the concept of an artificial intelligence game is not something that gamers haven't seen, but David Cage promises something different for the said game.
As noted by Techno Buffalo, it was revealed back in Sony's Paris Games Week event that the Quantic Dream's Detroit: Become Human talks about the plot of Kara, which can be recalled as a tech demo for the PlayStation 3 back in 2012. Cage talks quite vastly about following through where Ex Machina was noted to have ended. Kara breaks out of her home factory, and as man fails to realize her entirety, she treks solely to know what it would be like to be an authentic human.
David Cage elaborated more on his intentions in making a more distinct title, and was quoted, "We didn't want to do another story on AI (there are already so many great ones), we wanted to talk about what it means to be human and what it would be like to be in the shoes of an android discovering our world and their own emotion." This only states that Detroit: Become Human may have something else in store for fans that has not be done by the likes of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which was launched back in 2011.
Detroit: Become Human is a PlayStation 4 exclusive but still with an uncertain release date.
