LG is set to be the first third-party manufacturer to get its Marshmallow updates out of the gate. The update will not be limited to G4 devices; it is also planned to extend to G3, G2, and G Flex 2 devices. However, the release was postponed due to technical difficulties.
A few months ago, the announcement has been made by the Google at its I/O Developer conference about its official roll out of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Now, users are eagerly waiting for the updates that will arrive on their Android devices for the innovative and newest android experience.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is on its way to the LG G4 devices. As reported by Gospel Herald, the company is planning to extend Marshmallow update to G3, G2 and G Flex 2. To begin its widespread availability, Android Marshmallow will first to roll out in Poland. Its first target is the small region, so that it can easily monitor the bugs before it'll be released worldwide.
The news about the postponement of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to LG G4, G3, G2, and G Flex 2 is surfacing throughout the web. Most of the users are wondering how long it will take, since nothing is mentioned more specifically regarding the interruption of its roll out in Poland.
Furthermore, as reported by Geek Snack, the release of Android Marshmallow for LG G4 devices should have already started in Poland last week, while European, Asian and American markets would have followed. Unfortunately, the release of the Android OS update on LG G4 smartphones has been delayed due to technical difficulties.
As guessed by Geek Snack, some bugs were discovered throughout the final tests LG made with the Android Marshmallow OS, as the announcement of the delay has been released so late.
On the other hand, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to bring some cool features out of its box for the huge improvement of user's experience. As noted by Extreme Tech, it will include updated app permission and two "Do Not Disturb" modes. Moreover, it is also commended for its battery life improvements, which the 'Doze' mode is so helpful.
"While speed alone isn't an indicator of great service, it does go a long way toward giving consumers the confidence that LG is committed to its existing customers first," LG Mobile Communication Head Chris Yie said in a statement.
In the meantime, there are still LG devices older than the G4 waiting on receiving version 5.1.1. It is possible that these models will skip that and go straight to Marshmallow, or 5.1.1 will be as high as it goes. Hopefully, the wait won't be extended for long.
