With the box office of the previous film, Marvel is moving ahead with Ant-Man and The Wasp. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are expected to reprise their roles and director Peyton Reed was confirmed to be still in talks for the project.

MCU's small but terrible superhero is set to return but this time, he will be joined by a heroine as they explore the cinematic universe's Microverse. According to /Film, the inclusion of a sequel to Ant-Man has caused some changes in Marvel movies' schedule of release dates.

The upcoming movie is currently slated to hit theaters in July 06, 2018 which was previously occupied by Black Panther. The latter is now scheduled for a much earlier play date in February 16, 2018. It will be the first Marvel project that will bear the name of a heroine in the title, although, it is not a solo film.

Moreover, as reported by Comics Alliance, director Peyton Reed is currently being courted to return in the sequel. The director previously expressed his support by tweeting about the sequel, although whether or not he will go on board remains to be seen.

Plot details for Ant-Man and The Wasp are currently under wraps as it is still in its pre-production stage, but according to Cinema Blend, one area that the plot could explore on the characters' ability to change in size.

While it was revealed that it is possible for Ant-Man to shrink into a sub-atomic size and then back to the normal size, Ant-Man and The Wasp could explore more on the Microverse and possibly save Hope Van Dyne's mother who was said to have been trapped in such size after trying to stop a missile.

However, until Marvel release the project's official plot details, speculations remain to be fan-based. Ant-Man and The Wasp will be the follow up to the recently released 'Ant-Man'. More details about the project will be delivered as production makes progress.
