‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’: Exciting Game Editions, Bundles, and Gameplay Videos Prior to Release

By

Prior to its release on November 10, Square Enix's Rise of the Tomb Raider is already hitting the pre-order sites as different retailers have equipped some extra goods with the physical game into different editions and bundles. Furthermore, a recently released video offered a sneak peek of its gameplay.

Square Enix recently revealed an unboxing video of the Rise of the Tomb Raider Collector's Edition. Featured in the video is Crystal Dynamics Community Manager and die-hard Tomb Raider fan, Meagan Marie, along with Art Director Brenoch Adams. They revealed the contents of the fancy-looking box which appeared to look like a wooden crate. The box is filled with shredded paper serving as packing material which is made to look like straw, as reviewed by VG 24/7. The bulk's contents include the physical copy of the game itself, an exclusive steel case bearing an artifact symbol, a replica of Lara Croft's in-game journal, a replica of Lara's Jade Necklace, and a 12-inch statue of Lara depicting her searching for answers on her first tomb raiding expedition. However, the Collector's Edition might be sold out before its release, so it is advisable to check it out at North American Square Enix stores.

The game's November 10 release will be exclusive only to Xbox One for USD59.99 while it is available for Xbox 360 for USD49.99. A Deluxe Edition shall be available for USD89.99 which also includes a Season Pass. According to Gottabe Mobile, those who purchased through pre-orders shall also have access to character outfits made of animal skins and armor pieces. An Xbox One Bundle is also available for USD399 which includes the Xbox One console and game copies of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. PC and PS4 releases, on the other hand, shall be available sometime on 2016.

On the other news, the third and last video of the Crystal Dynamics' Woman vs Wild series, have surfaced which pretty much showed some details of the gameplay, as reported by PC Gamer. The video mostly featured 'deadly tombs' which shows the details of the interiors of actual tombs. Through a new translation system, a player will be able to discover tombs off the beaten path, feature maps, environmental puzzles, and combat sections.

Rise of the Tomb Raider shall set players on a quest in the frigid wilderness of the Russian Siberia on November 10, exclusively for Xbox One players. PS4 and PC gamers shall have their respective releases sometime in 2016. Collector's Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Bundles are subject to availability of stocks.
