One year after its reveal, Rise of the Tomb Raider is now going to be released this November 10. That's quite the early Christmas gift coming from Crystal Dynamics. It will be available for the Xbox 360 and Next Gen Xbox One Console exclusively but it may come to other consoles soon. The game will take players on another adventure with the game's main heroine, Lara Croft as she embarks on another journey.
The game was first shown back at E3 2014 and in the reveal trailer featured at LATimes, it seems that the story will take out heroine out into the wilds which has its own unique dangers and elements. It syncs with the game well that players will get to experience a different Tomb Raider game but it still has the same action that players loved.
The game takes a slight turn because there are more tombs and less killing. "Rise of the Tomb Raider," explains Hughes, will be less about Croft the video game assassin, and more about Croft the video game archaeologist. There will be action, sure... Yet there will also be ancient languages Croft has to uncover..." "This is Lara's great tomb raiding expedition," promises Hughes." One of the most common pieces of feedback we heard last time was 'more tombs.'"
The game trailer got everyone thrilled but a report from tombraiders says that the game will be exclusive to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 but the developers also made it clear that the exclusive deal they made with Microsoft has a time limit. That's good news for everyone with different consoles, although
As for the Upcoming Tomb Raider Movie, MGM is seeking a "Michelle MacLaren type" director together with Warner Bros according to Aceshowbiz. However, it seems that it is unlikely for her to head the project because she left Warner Bros. "Wonder Woman" last April due to creative differences.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It will be released on November 10, 2015.
