The highly anticipated Victoria Secret event is finally days away. With new angels set to walk the famous runway, fans of models Gigi Hadid and best friend Kendall Jenner can expect to see their favorite duo doing what they do best, which is of course, modelling. The excitement level for the upcoming event is said to be pretty high, but with the sudden news of Rihanna cancelling her performance at the event, fans have been left disappointed with what could have been the first glimpse of RiRi's much-awaited newest album.
According to E! Online, the Victoria Secret's Fashion Show 2015 has a few freshmen lined up who will definitely wow their audience. The annual lingerie show is known for hiring only the very best supermodels and A-list talents. For this year though, freshmen angels as well as the hottest models will be walking the runway including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, who will be joining the famous fashion show. Although the best friends are both only 20 years old, they've already made a strong name in the modelling business, landing themselves their dream job with their amazing walk and good looks.
But as many fans of Victoria's Secret brand will be super excited to see fresh faces in the most dazzling and expensive lingerie show, Page Six reported that Rihanna will not be making the show as was expected. Apparently, the 27-year-old singer pulled out of her scheduled performance just a week before the event was to take place.
According to the International Business Times UK, Rihanna cancelled her performance at the fashion show because her music wasn't ready. The Barbadian beauty has been leaving fans restless for months now as she constantly teases them with minor updates on her eighth album which has yet to be given a release date.
Although the 'Diamonds' singer had planned on performing one of her newest singles from her forthcoming album 'Anti,' a source revealed that RiRi is nowhere near to feeling comfortable with performing her music as she's still not contented with its final result. Luckily, the Victoria's Secret organisers were able to contact Ellie Goulding just in time, and have booked the English singer to take Rihanna's place.
With the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show taking place just days away, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are preparing themselves for the big day. The event will actually take place on November 9 and 10 in New York City; however, it won't be aired until December 8 on CBS. Despite Rihanna pulling out of the event at the last minute, fans will be pleased to hear that there was no bad tension between RiRi and the VS team. And luckily, Ellie Goulding fans will be able to see their favorite singer perform instead.
