Samsung is expected to release Galaxy S7 early 2016. It is believed that the new phone will come in two versions with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and Exynos 8890 (M1) SoC. Along with its interesting specs and features are the new handset's trademark called, BRITECELL.
Phone Arena said that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset for Galaxy S7 version will support LTE Cat. 12 speeds while Exynos 8890 will support LTE Cat 12 modem. The report added that LTE Cat. 12 speeds can top at 600Mb/s for downloads and at 100Mb/s for uploads. As a reminder, carriers have to support the aforementioned speeds for the phone to acquire such thing.
Further, the upcoming S7 is said to come with a better camera that is powered by BRITECELL, according to GSM Arena. BRITECELL can improve the camera's sensor by capturing more light in the background. Phandroid also mentioned that Samsung has its own ISOCELL camera technology that can provide less cross-pixel interference than normal BSI sensors. With this, the combination of BRITECELL and ISOCELL technologies can create a remarkable view for innovations in Samsung phones.
In another report, Tech Radar cited some of the interesting specs and features of the new phone. It includes the hardware that may come with different types of metal like Magnesium. It is believed that S7 will come in two sizes such as 5.2 inches screen display and 5.8 inches screen display. The report also said that an AnTuTu Benchmark shows a 5MP front-camera facing and 16MP rear camera.
Samsung has no confirmation with regards to the exact release date of the Galaxy S7. The smartphone company does not have any official statement yet regarding the specs and features of the new Samsung phone. Though considering the latest Galaxy S6, S7 is something to look forward to in the market soon.
