Apple Expected to Launch a 4-inch iPhone 7 in September 2016

Apple is introducing a smaller 4-inch iPhone early next year. An analyst predicts that there could be between 20-30 million units of the new iPhone that will be shipped once it becomes available in the public. The 4-inch iPhone is inspired by iPhone 5S, which is believed to be more popular than iPhone 5C.

KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, said in Mac Rumors that the new phone will most likely be the upgraded version of iPhone 5S. He forecasts that Apple may mass-produce the 4 inches phone in 1H16 with metal casings. He also said, "In order to make the current iOS 9 or next-generation iOS 10 run smoothly, Apple may adopt an A9 chip for this new phone."

In addition, Apple Insider noted that the statement it obtained from Apple suppliers with KGI Securities that the iPhone 7 is expected to come with 2GB of RAM. iPhone 7 Plus is also believed to come out after the former phone, in which it is expected to add another gigabyte for greater performance. Both devices are to run next-generation mobile processor architecture from Apple, called A10 CPU.

The company also aims that the new phone will be as thin as 6mm, just like the iPod touch and iPad Air 2. Related report added that the iPhone 7 is most likely to debut in September 2016. This is in line with the usual annual release pattern of the new iPhones. On the other hand, the new iPhone has the potential to increase the revenue of the company as previous records show. As it was logged in the past, IB Times noted that there were over 48 million sale in the market of China only for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S Plus.

Enthusiasts will have to wait for further announcement from Apple on the exact date of release of the new iPhone. As of the moment, there is no official statement from the company on the other specs and features of the new smartphone.
