Xiaomi's upcoming smartphone, Redmi Note 2 Pro, was recently spotted in China's Certification, indicating that the handset's launch might come around this month. The smartphone is believed to be armored with competitive specs and features, two of which are metal casing and a fingerprint scanner.
According NDTV Gadgets, the unannounced Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro has reportedly been certified in China last week. The 3C certification in China presented smartphones with model numbers 2015617, 2015611, and 2015056, which are reported to be the variants of the upcoming Xiaomi device. It's earliest expected launch date is November, although there has been no official word on the exact release yet.
Tech2 cited the features that are expected to be present in Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro. This device will reportedly arrive featuring a 5.5-inch 1080p display and come in two variants. One of which will house 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage while the other one will be packed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage.
Under the Redmi Note 2 Pro's chassis, will be Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC, running Xiaomi's home grown operating system MIUI 7. As for its camera, it will be sporting e a 13-megapixel rear-facing snapper and 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Aside from these specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi note 2 Pro is speculated to have a metal casing and a fingerprint scanner. Master Herald stated that the leaks from the Chinese website were also confirmed by Steve Hemmerstoffer of @OnLeaks Twitter account. He posted an image of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro on October 31 with a caption hinting it will come out with a metal back.
As the Chinese tech giant hasn't confirmed anything yet, these speculations will be the basis of the possible customers for now when it comes to the specs and features of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro. However, with the recent Chinese certification the device has received, the fans' wait for its release might be cut short.
