A jail broken iPhone can get exclusive iPhone 6S features without actually having one. This is through the iOS 9 Cydia tweaks that can enable such features. Untethered Hey Siri, live photos enabler, reveal menu, front flash, and ultrakam are the things that can be experienced through the alternative option.
GottabeMobile mentioned that iPhone 6S allows the usage of Hey Siri at all times, unlike with the older iPhones that are needed to be plugged in to work. Under the state of jailbreak, untethered Hey Siri to older iPhones is now possible. In addition, the report said that jail broken older iPhones have the ability to send images in a real live photo and the ability of 3D Touch Quick Actions and Peek. FrontFlash and 4K video capabilities with higher resolution are now made possible for older iPhones.
Further, iDigital Times said that Cydia has seen around 75 new and updated apps arrive on the jailbreak store for iPhone, iPad and iPod. These include ChromeDownloader +, Couria, AltKeyboard 2, and additions like Aeternum Hives (a fun new Apple UI like tweak), BytaFont 3 (for all those fancy custom fonts) and Pegasus (a tweak for getting picture in picture on incompatible Apple devices). The report also listed all the new and updated tweaks from the jailbreaker, Cydia.
On the other hand, The Independent reported that a team of anonymous hackers claim $1 million prize for jail breaking iOS 9. The amount is offered by Zerodium, a cyber security company, to whoever discovers and comes up with a browser-based untethered jailbreak for iOS 9. Conditions in the competition required for hacking process should be achievable remotely, reliably, silently and without requiring any user interaction except visiting a web page or reading a SMS/MMS, the report added.
iPhone users who updated their older models to iOS 9 can now experience the aforementioned features through the process of jailbreak. As usual, users must ensure that important files are saved prior to any process.
