'Legends' Update: Here’s What To Expect From the Rebooted Second Season

By

TNT’s spy drama, "Legends", premiered its second season last Monday, setting things up in a different scale and a more novelistic approach. Moving forward, followers of the Sean Bean-starred series should expect for this rebooted format to continue – as showrunners of Legends have plotted an entirely unique way of storytelling with the new bunch of episodes.

As previewed by series star/producer Sean Bean, Legends season two can offer so much more suspense compared to what went down last season.

“I would say it’s a very different show in all ways. Even though last year I wasn’t over the moon about the end product, I thought it still had potential,” the actor told Zap2it in a report.

He also shared that he agreed to become a producer for the show while in the process of mixing ideas with "Legends" showrunner Ken Biller.

“We came up with something new and different and much more thoughtful and a much more suspenseful, grittier, darker mystery.”

Biller, on the other hand, offered a scoop about "Legends" shift in direction in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. When asked about how much closure to the mystery of Sean’s character’s identity will he offer the audience this season, he mentioned that “Identity is the main theme of the show.”

“If the audience watches season two of Legends, when they get to the last episode, they will be told who Martin Odum really is,” allowing that he thinks that he owed the audience the question of “Who is Martin Odum?”.

He also shared the significance of “not just keep teasing the audience and give them the real answers”. According to Biller, the reward for the viewers by merely following each episode and “sticking with it” is the guarantee that they will get tons of answers.

The rebooted second run will also introduce new faces. The list of guest stars, according to Entertainment Weekly, include: Steve Kazee as Curtis Ballard and Aisling Franciosi as Kate Crawford. Also, Morris Chestnut will reprise his role as Agent Tony Rice from season one.

The new season of TNT’s Legends has been rebooted to a largely different, more novelistic format. As the second season progresses, viewers should expect for new faces to board the espionage drama – including Steve Kazee and Aisling Franciosi.

Catch an all new episode of "Legends" every Monday at 10PM on TNT.
