It wasn't too long since Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez filled headlines when they decided to officially end their two years of marriage. But now the two are spotted together inside a vehicle in Woodland Hills in Lost Angeles. And while hopeful romantics wish that the photo share an intimate reunion or at least a dramatic friendship deal, that's totally not the case.
The once-married celeb couple looked rather glum to be in a once so familiar occasion, where Martinez is driving and Berry sitting shotgun. But while the pair didn't work out as spouses they're doing their best as parents.
Apparently, they were out to take Berry's daughter Nahla to a friend's birthday party and despite having their own issues against each other, the two remained civil enough for their child.
The Oscar-winning actress and the French film actor filed for divorce last month, citing irreconcilable differences for its cause. The couple share a 2-year-old son named Maceo, while Nahla is Berry's daughter from her previous husband, Gabriel Aubry. Though the actress hasn't demanded spousal support nor asked for a primary or joint custody from Martinez, it looks like the "S.W.A.T" actor is willingly carrying out certain roles for the family.
Now officially a single mother, Berry is living happily with her two children. In a recent interview with Extra, she shared how she dressed up as a 'sexy pirate' during Halloween for Nahla and tended to Maceo who unfortunately got chicken pox. She revealed she's doing great in her current status.
"I'm doing okay, I really am. I keep pushing and I'm really happy to be here because whenever you're going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that's always the best remedy for any situation that you'd rather not be dealing with," Berry stated.
"The Call" actress is also giving some of her time at the Jenesse Center to help the organization dedicated to domestic violence, prevention and intervention. While we can't say for sure if she's in this foundation after suffering from toxic relationships herself, or simply her heart aches for abused women, the 49-year-old actress is truly leading her life with purpose.
