The American fairy tale dramatic series Once Upon A Time had already set the tone for a darker Season 5. "The Dark One" Emma Swan's ultimate plan will be revealed on the Episode 8 of the series. Viewers will get a two-hour special for the coming episode, Mulan and Red join Merida on an expedition and a recap on how Emma got hold of the embler in Episode 7.
In the teaser video of Once Upon A Time which you can watch here, Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) assured Emma (Jennifer Morrison) of his love and he will remain on his side whatever her dark side may do. Hook now is more inclined to save the love of his life to be fully consumed by darkness.
However, Regina warns Hook that Emma is manipulating Hook's feelings and using him for her purpose. The Episode 8 special entitled' Birth' will be a two-hour special centralizing on Emma's dark plans. Carter Matt revealed that major revelations can be anticipated such as how Emma can be stopped.
The first part of the special will be closer to the conclusion of the half of Season 8. Second part of the special will bring in characters of Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Red (Meghan Ory) to help Merida (Amy Manson) in surviving a mission.
In the Episode 7 of Once Upon A Time Season 5 entitled Nimue, Merlin (Elliot Knight) reminded of his younger years as he took Emma on a journey to meet his old enemy and retrieve the spark, and prevent "The Dark One" on absolutely devouring Emma's soul. Nimue (Caroline Ford) and Merlin were lovers until Nimue was destroyed by the dark side.
The episode revealed how Excalibur came as a powerful sword and how Nimue became The Dark One. She drank from the Holy Grail and killed the evil masked Vortigan, Comic Book shared.
Upon arriving at the area of the Excalibur, Merlin urged Emma to summon The Dark One on her subconscious and to Emma's surprised it was Nimue. Emma was able to fight Nimue and recover the ember. Emma fused Excalibur and the spark from the ember of Prometheus for own.
