Apple iPhone 7 Rumor: Release Date, Price, Specs Roundup

By

After the record-breaking sales of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, fans of Apple Inc. has been very anxious about the next flagship, iPhone 7. The iupcoming device has been all over the wire due to a lot of speculations about the handset's features and specs.

According to Digital Spy, the much awaited iPhone 7 might hit the market September next year. This was actually based on the pattern that Apple has been following since the release of iPhone 4s. Furthermore, it was also stated that after the device's release on early September, the handset will be available to retailers' shelves just a few weeks later.

In addition, Tech Radar cited some of the speculated features that the upcoming iPhone might sport. The iPhone 7 is believed to be much slimmer than its predecessor, dropping between 6mm and 6.5mm thick. There were also a number of iPhone prototypes with ruggedized features, which could indicate that the forthcoming flagship of Apple will be a water and dust-resistant phone.

The iPhone 7 is also rumored to jump for a bigger resolution as Apple basically wanted to move to glass-on-glass screens, which in turn opens up the possibility of a QHD or even a 4K display. Furthermore, if this handset will be sporting a huge resolution then it is also expected to be in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models.

3D Touch is also expected to be present on the handset, but this technology is more likely to be improved in some way. Perhaps, by enabling the users to scroll through the previews of content they recently viewed rather than just having static previews.

As for the iPhone 7's camera it will presumably remain on 12-megapixel iSight main snapper and a 5-megapixel camera for FaceTime and selfies. This handset is believed to be engineered with a hexa-core A10 chip that is a mile higher than the dual-core processor of its predecessor, iPhone 6s.

When it comes to price, Latinos Health stated that the iPhone 7 may be at least £539 (at least $800) for a 16GB model while the 64GB and the 128GB could be £619 (at least $900) and £699 (at least $1000) respectively.

However, none of these were confirmed by the Apple Inc. yet so smartphone enthusiasts are advised to wait for official announcements.
