The most recent episode of "The Good Wife" hit the rewind button from its previous seasons, as the writers managed to bring back the NSA wiretapping storyline for the protagonist, Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies). Meanwhile, the legal drama has added "Desperate Housewives" alum Vanessa Williams to guest star next Sunday. The episode is titled “Driven”.
As reported by E! Online, the Nov. 8th installment of the legal drama has once again tackled the “very tired NSA storyline” viewers have witnessed become a headache for Alicia. Apparently, the agency is listening to Julianna Margulies’ strategic lawyer again. The episode also marked the return of "The Office" and "Silicon Valley" actor, Zach Woods. No word yet on why Mrs. Florrick is back on the NSA’s radar. At this point, it’s palpable that the writers are planning to unearth another nasty controversy or scandal by revisiting this old political plot for either Alicia or her husband, Peter Florrick (Chris Noth).
On the "Good Wife’s" casting news, it has been reported by Carter Matt that the legal drama has collared Desperate Housewives actress Vanessa Williams to guest star on this season’s seventh episode. Her character, Courtney Paige, is described as a potential campaign contributor. Viewers will have to tune in if Paige will join Eli (Allan Cumming) and Ruth (Margo Martindale) to be a part of Peter Florrick’s campaign.
In the same hour, Alicia and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) will take on an automotive case which will make the duo butt heads with the partners from Lockhart, Agos & Lee. Per The Futon Critic, viewers will meet “an employee represented by Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox), who was involved in a crippling accident while test-driving a car operating in “driverless” mode”.
"The Good Wife" airs every Sunday at 9PM on CBS.
