‘Monster Hunter X’ New Trailer Reveals Playable Cat Companion and TV Spots

Cacpom's hunting game, Monster Hunter X have released its third trailer which shows epic monster battles and the character's cat companion as fully playable character. Along with the trailer release are the game's new opening movie and a new set of TV spots.

Capcom's recently released 90 minutes livestream of its Monster Hunter X game provides updates on the game's new trailer, cat companion, new monsters, and new weapons, as VG 24/7 reported. The full demo shall be released in Japan on November 19.

The trailer basically shows the cat companion to be a fully playable character. Also shown are the new footage of epic monster battles. The cat companion is shown as small but agile and is capable of spinning up storm of attacks. Pocket Gamer tried the Monster Hunter X demo in the recently held Tokyo Game Show. A new game map shall be featured with nine areas, pretty much like Monster Hunter Ultimate 4's Primal Forest. The controls, on the other hand, feels mucht the same. The demo also featured two monsters; Dos Maccao and Dinovalde, while fans expect more new monsters and great comebacks in the actual game. So far, five monsters have already been revealed. On the other hand, Hunter Arts feature was also added with skills of Striker Style, Bushido Style, and Aerial Style.

The opening movie and a new set of TV spots have recently been revealed. The TV spots, mostly for 15 seconds, include: The Four Big Main Monsters, Nyanter, Style, and Hunting Technique and Style titles. Gematsu reports that Capcom's collaboration with the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Macross Delta franchises has also been announced. Such collaboration features a promotional video wherein the companion cat is dressed depicting the characters from Zelda and Macross.

Capcom's Monster Hunter X shall be released with new maps, new weapons, new monsters, and a new playable cat companion on November 28 for Nintendo 3DS.
