Nintendo finally reveals the gameplay video of Monster Hunter X during the recently held Tokyo Game Show. The video revealed just few of the details to watch for in the newest game release, including new exciting monsters, weapons, and hunting styles.
One monster featured is the Leviathan Tamamitsune. Though not much is known about the monster, Geek Snack says that more of it would be revealed later this week. As of the moment, five new monsters have already been featured and fans are also looking forward to epic returns of favorites as well.
Other feature reveals on the video are the Hunting Horn and Hammer weapons; for which was said that this game's weapon types comes with their respective features to allow players employ different hunting strategies and tactics.
In a game review done by Pocket Gamer, the site mentions that Monster Hunter X features a map with nine areas of different shapes and sizes. Though usage of new weapons is disabled in the demo feature, one of the biggest changes noticeable is the addition of Hunter Arts. An additional gauge comes along with the life and stamina bar which could be charged as a player attacks a monster. Once full, tapping it enables a player to unleash a special move, mostly weapon-oriented, but there are also handy evasion techniques. There are various Hunting Styles to choose from and playing style could also be customized. Some featured styles are the Striking Style, the Aerial Style, and the Bushido Style.
To offer gamers the ultimate Monster Hunter X experience, Nintendo shall also release a special edition of its 3DS console. Being unsatisfied with the first Monster Hunter X-themed Nintendo 3DS, the company is now releasing a second one in November, corollary to the release of the game. Game Spot says that the new version is made customizable through swappable faceplates which can be sold separately. The whole package comes with an AC adapter and a 4G microSDHC card.
These new monsters, weapons, and gameplay styles shall hit the consoles of fans soon, as Nintendo's Monster Hunter X will be released exclusively in Nintendo 3DS on November 28 in Japan. No release date in North America and Europe has been confirmed yet.
