NBA star Iman Shumpert surprised his girlfriend with an engagement ring during her baby shower. What was originally planned as a gathering with her close girlfriends became one of the most significant days of her life.
Singer Teyana Taylor thought that she was going to enjoy her day with a special baby shower, until it became one of the most amazing days of her life. Her boyfriend, Cleveland Cavaliers star made a surprise appearance at the "Royal Shower" and there popped the question, according to Entertainment News Online. The baby shower was held inside the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland. Of course, the singer said yes as soon as he popped the question. She even posted a photo of her ring on her instagram account soon after.
Just back in September, it was confirmed that the couple are expecting their first chid already, due to be out in the world on January next year. Teyana and her friends all shared photos of the big event that occurred last Saturday, November 7. Just Jared reports that on Teyana's instagram account, she captioned her photo with the words "Thank you @imanshumpert for putting the color back in my life." It has apparently been an economical move for the 25-year-old Shumpert to choose to propose during the shower, as he transitioned one innocent event meant for the baby to be about their entire family instead.
Their baby who is due on January 16, 2016 is going to be named Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr., as reported by People. This information was reportedly posted by Shumpert on his Facebook account last September. At that time, he posted "I couldn't be more happy than to share my first child with the woman I intended to have my family with." The engagement was definitely no surprise, as Iman has always been vocal of wanting to be with his singer girlfriend for the rest of his life.
The couple are now not only looking forward to having a baby together. An upcoming wedding is now on their list of upcoming big events in their lives.
