Xiaomi Redmi 2A 'Enchanced' Version Released In China; Features 2GB RAM,16GB Internal Storage and More

The Xiaomi Redmi 2A that was released March this year is bound to have an improved version that will be released in China starting today, November 11. Xiaomi Redmi 2A is expected to arrive with a doubled RAM of 2GB and a doubled internal storage of 16GB.

According to Android Community, the Xiaomi Redmi 2A has been a huge success to the company. In fact, Xiaomi is celebrating as the company was able to ship 10 million units of the entry level phone priced at only USD$78. Following this achievement, the Chinese smartphone maker is set to release an enhanced version next called the Redmi 2A.

With a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, this handset is slightly more expensive than the regular unit. But because of the success of the company, Xiaomi is bringing down the price of the enhanced version down to USD$78, same as the original one.

Christian Today stated other features and specifications that the Xiaomi Redmi 2A enhanced version carries. This handset has a 4.7-inch screen with a 720p quality and a 312ppi pixel density. It is engineered with a Leadcore LC1860 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz .

The Redmi 2A sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera coupled with a decent 2-megapixel front-facing snapper that seem to be great for taking selfies and doing video chats. This smartphone is powered by a 2,200-mAh capacity battery, runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and provides two SIM card slots to boot.

Furthermore, Phone Arena added that the Xiaomi Redmi 2A enhanced edition will launch in China today, November 11 -very timely to the upcoming holiday season.

There is no confirmation yet regarding the improved Xiaomi Redmi 2A's arrival in the US. But despite this, the new handset is still expected to ring up massive sales, considering the success of its predecessor and the enhancements it would provide at the same price.
