Kyocera is reportedly to launch a new clamshell phone, the E4710, anytime soon in the United States. Rumor has it that it already made an appearance in the FCC and got a Bluetooth SIG certification.
Kyocera is a multinational manufacturer of electronics in Kyoto, Japan. It may not be known to most people across the world, but it has previously produced a few interesting handsets like the Dualforce XD.
The alleged Kyocera E4710 is said to sport a 2.6-inch display with a 240 by 320 resolution. According to Bluetooth SIG, the clamshell phone has a rugged waterproof build, which could be ideal for outdoor activities. It also works out to a 153ppi pixel density.
In addition, the E4710 is believed to feature a 1530mAh battery and either 4GB or 8GB of internal memory, expandable up to 32GB through a micro SD card. It also includes a GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0. Camera wise, it boasts a 5-megapixel primary shooter with LED flash.
In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and 3G HSPA+ cellular connection. Furthermore, it will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box.
Unfortunately, there are just few details revealed about the upcoming Kyocera handset. However, some of the mentioned specifications and features might not come into reality. Thus, it is still best to wait for the official announcements from the company.
