Star Citizen Receives New Update; Cloud Imperium Games Title New Features, Flight Modes Discussed

By

The critically-admired Star Citizen title is ready to receive its alpha 2.0 version, and with it, comes an array of changes that will render the game even more improved than it was already known. Some of these attributes are related to flight, and the benefits are more than spectacular.

According to Gear Nuke, Star Citizen's alpha 2.0 is set to receive some of the most notable updates that fans have waited on for the crowd-funded masterpiece by Cloud Imperium Games. The most notable factors that have been changed for the game include new flight modes that spell benefit all around it, majority of which will prove beneficial in adapting to the situational needs of the players.

It was delivered by PC Gamer that three new flight modes are to be updated for the alpha 2.0. There will also be the Quantum Travel and third order motion control system, above all others. The most awaited and considerably important feature in the alpha 2.0 would be the flexible flight modes that can be used in different scenarios such as the start of a ship's dispatch being in Precision Mode-this decreases top speed, while it puts in scaled acceleration for a more accessible maneuverability.

Cruise Mode, on the other hand, would be the definitive opposite of Precision Mode, as it sacrifices control and agility over excessive velocity. The Space Combat Maneuvering would be the computation of maximum velocity as a function of power and mass, optimizing every ship's performance while engaging in battle.

Quantum Travel can be compared to the Cruise Mode but works on its own via the Quantum Drive, empowering long-distance for only short periods. Overall, Star Citizen's Alpha 2.0 is bound to receive changes, bug fixes and updates that tackle the most technical aspects.

In other news, as reported by Gamespresso, one fan was noted to have taken the admiration for Star Citizen to the extreme, as he confessed on having spent approximately $30,000 on the said franchise. Though admitting to spend for other necessities in the similar manner, the over-the-top expenditure of the gamer was justified simply with the mere infatuation of the entertainment that Star Citizen has given.

Stay tuned for more updates on Star Citizen's alpha 2.0 release, since as of the moment, it has not been given yet a concrete launch date yet.
